A touch of emotion at a different event by the Women’s Union of Patras Selflessness, Love, Solidarity, Humanity. The meeting of EΓYPA at Distinto Rio was a practical expression of love and solidarity towards the fellow human being.The President of EΓYPA took the podium. Anna – Maria Rogdaki, who captivated the audience by talking about the history of the Association, which this year completes 33 years of action. Mrs. Rogdaki continued by inviting the well-known journalist of the newspaper Peloponnese Mrs. Nicole Makri, who as the new press and public relations officer, took over the coordination of the event.
The moment when the doctor and former deputy mayor Mrs. Anna Spiliotakara Rigopoulou took the podium was touching. Mrs. Spiliotakara, a close friend and fellow traveller with the late Koula Rogdaki, received the gold medal with the emblem of the Association.The awarding of the former deputy mayor and doctor Mrs. Marianna Stamatiadou brought great emotion.
Also awarded were: Anna Mastorakou, President of the Medical Association of Patras and Vice-Regional Health Officer of the Regional Health Department, Tasia Manolopoulou, President of the Multidisciplinary Organization and the Foundation for the Support of Oncological Patients ELPIDA, Lena Albani, Vice Rector of the University of Patras, Katerina Vergi, Head of the School, Secretary of the Panathenaic Women’s Organization, Elena Konidari, T. Akia Stamatis Bank Executive, the Journalist, Radio Producer, Joanna Giannopoulou, Iro Dimitropoulou, a great philanthropist with a huge contribution to acts of love, Efi Giannia, Lieutenant General of the Police, Politician of Achaia and Poppy Didachou Sipsa, Owner of a Driving School.
Particularly touching is the reference to the late Liolio Kolypera, vice-president of EΓYPA for 4 terms and a close friend of Koula Rogdakis. The emblematic brooch was received by the President of the Alma Zois Association of Achaia, Mrs. Angeliki Stefanaki.The evening was based on the needs of the Karamandaneio Children’s Hospital, to which the proceeds will be donated.
